You have 21 days from the citation date to present proof of correction. If charged with one of the following offenses, you may request a dismissal of your citation(s) (Not all compliance dismissals are listed). Once we review and determine you are eligible for compliance dismissal, we will contact you back to give you instructions on how to pay the required administrative fee:

 

• Expired vehicle registration (Defendant must remedy the defect, and show proof of payment of late registration fee to county assessor-collector) ($20 administrative fee);
• Operate a vehicle without valid registration insignia properly displayed ($10 administrative fee);
• Attaching or displaying on a vehicle a registration insignia that is assigned for a period other than in effect ($10 administrative fee);
• Operate a vehicle without two valid license plates ($10 administrative fee);
• Attaching or displaying on a vehicle a license plate that is assigned for a period other than in effect, or has a blurring, reflective, coating, covering, or protective matter or attached illuminated device, sticker, decal, or emblem that obscures, impairs, or interferes with the plate's readability ($10 administrative fee);
• Expired driver's license ($20 administrative fee);
• Fail to report a change of address or name on a driver's license ($20 administrative fee);
• Violate driver's license restriction or endorsement ($10 administrative fee);
• Expired disabled parking placard ($20 administrative fee);
• Insurance citations you must provide proof of insurance coverage that shows coverage for the date and time the citation was received. (no administrative fee)

What you need to request a compliance dismissal:

• Acceptable form of identification
• Show Proof that you fixed and/or updated what you were cited for.
• Must pay the Administrative Fee for certain dismissals
